Diagnosis of Cancer Through Astrology
Cancer is a broad group of various diseases involving unregulated cell growth. In cancer, cells divide and grow uncontrollably, forming malignant tumours and also invading nearby parts. The disease may also spread to more distant parts of the body through the lymphatic system or bloodstream. It is a dreaded disease as it causes death.
Astrological principles connected to Cancer:
a) If Rahu is associated with Moon, Lagna or sixth house, there is a chance of cancer.
b) If the lord of the sixth house has a connection with the ascendant/eighth house / twelfth house and the same is in Rahu / Ketu axis, there is the chance of cancer.
c) Association or connection of Rahu and Ketu with sixth, eighth and the twelfth house increases the possibility of this disease.
d) Affliction on Moon, Cancer Rashi and fourth house by Rahu / Ketu axis and Saturn can cause breast cancer.
e) Mars represents red blood cells, haemoglobin and bone marrow. The affliction of Mars by the Rahu / Ketu axis and Saturn can cause blood cancer.
f) If Mercury is afflicted by malefic planets, the native may suffer from skin cancer. Affliction by Rahu / Ketu axis can be considered worst in this case.
h) Afflictions of Sun by Rahu, Ketu and Saturn can also cause cancer.
i) If Rahu and Saturn are placed in the sixth house, the native may get afflicted with this disease.
It is important to note that there is a controversy about the aspects of Rahu and Ketu and the effects of the aspects. Most of the astrological classics are silent on this question. However, some recent classics on Vedic astrology indicate that Rahu and Ketu aspects the fifth house, seventh house and the ninth house from where it is placed. We have not considered the aspect factor in this analysis. We have taken the help of the Rahu / Ketu axis for tracing the possibility of the disease.
We will discuss a few cases to illustrate how astrology can help in diagnosing Cancer.
We have not given the birth details of the patients. We have only given the birth chart and Navamsha chart to explain the planetary combinations which caused this disease from which they suffered.
Case 1:
Interpretation
Jupiter the Lagna lord is placed in the sixth house. Sun and Mars are both afflicted by Rahu / Ketu axis. The native died of Cancer in the dasa of Jupiter / Rahu. Cancer affected the abdomen region. The placement of Rahu in the fifth house has a significant role.
Case 2:
Interpretation: The Lagna lord is placed in the sixth house. Sun is debilitated and is placed in the sixth house. Moon receives the aspect of debilitated Mars. The affliction of the fourth house by Saturn and Rahu is significant. The native suffered from blood cancer. Temporary relief from chemotherapy did not work for a long time. This native died in the antardasa of Jupiter / Ketu.
Case 3:
Interpretation: This is an example of a horoscope having promises of breast cancer. The parameters of breast cancer are fulfilled. Moon and fourth house are both afflicted by Rahu / Ketu axis. The aspect of Saturn on the fourth house has strengthened the possibilities.
Case 4:
Interpretation: The horoscope which is given above also shows promises of breast cancer. The fourth house is heavily afflicted by the placement of Saturn. The aspect of Mars and Sun in the fourth house also adds to the affliction of the fourth house. To make the problems worse, Moon and Cancer Rashi are both afflicted by Rahu / Ketu axis.
Case 5:
Interpretation: The Lagna lord Mercury is placed in the ninth house in Rahu / Ketu axis. Moon is also afflicted by Rahu and Ketu. Sun is afflicted by Saturn. Mars, the eighth lord is losing strength in the Navamsha. The native was diagnosed with blood cancer. Mercury being afflicted there is the possibility of skin cancer also.
