Siddhakunjika Strotam – Best prayer in paucity of time

Categories : Spirituality

The Siddhakunjika Strotam occurs in Sri Durgasaptasati in the Devi Mahatmya section of the Markandeya Puran. The recitation of the whole of Durgasaptashati with Kavacham, Argala and Keelkam should be the general practice. The recitation should be followed by Rahasyam.

Shiva disclosed to Parvati that the recitation of Siddhakunjika strotam alone is sufficient for obtaining the blessings of goddess Durga. The recitation of this Stotra should generally be done before beginning the recitation of complete Durga Saptashati because the group of mantras belonging to the Kunjika represent the essence of the holy scripture.
